Boger Bog Conservation Area

Boger Bog is one of only a handful of bogs in the Midwest United States. It is also one of the most diverse bogs in the world, with over 400 species of plants and animals.

Boger Bog Conservation Area is open to the public year-round. The best time to visit is from April to October, when the weather is mild and the wetland is in full bloom.

The conservation area is located at 1313 North River Road in McHenry, Illinois.

There is no fee to visit Boger Bog Conservation Area. However, donations are appreciated and help to support the conservation area.

When you visit Boger Bog Conservation Area, be sure to wear sturdy shoes and clothing that can get wet or muddy. Insect repellent is also recommended.
